Welcome to Asian Council
I am glad to notify RESA members that the Asian Council has been established! Welcome to this new and vibrant community!
Why Asian Council:
Today, Multicultural People Earn More and Own More than at any Previous Time in Recorded History.
Our population:
Some
13.3 million Asian Americans live in the United States, which is about
5% of the total population. Another 3.5 million Asian Canadians live in
Canada, representing approximately 11% of that country's total
population.
Our buying power:
According
to the U.S. Census Bureau, Statistical Abstract of the U.S., Income,
Expenditure, and Wealth 2002, about 2.3% of American households have an
annual income of more than $200,000.
For
the Asian American community, this number is 4.1%, almost twice the
national average. By 2010, these numbers will be 5.0% and 7.8%
respectively. When compared with the national average, Asian Americans
also have the highest median household income: $55,026 versus $42,873.
Asian
Americans compose the richest group of multicultural people in North
America. Buying power of Asian Americans has increased by 45.9% in just
the past five years. Thanks to the fast-growing Asian American economy,
Asian immigrants are much wealthier today than in the past, and the
number of very wealthy Asian Americans has increased significantly.
Our education:
Forty-five
percent of Asian Americans work in high-paying positions, such as
advanced management or technology, and many are highly entrepreneurial.
Asian Americans are also the most highly educated group in the United
States, with 44% of them having at least a B.A. degree. Fifty-two
percent of Asian American business owners are college graduates, as
opposed to an average of 43% for all business owners in general.
Twenty-five percent of Asian Americans have a postgraduate degree, which
is also higher than the national average of 19%.
We love houses:
Home
ownership in the Asian American market is 60.8%, a 19.2% increase in
just the last 10 years-the fastest rate of increase in the North
American housing market. In GTA Canada, Asians account for half of all
real estate transactions, and they tend to move about every three to
five years. Because of their unique cultural heritage, Asians often have
particular housing preferences, which also applies to home staging:
they prefer certain styles to other ones. On the other hand, Asians need
to know more about mainstream culture in North America so that their
home staging efforts will be more in line with market demands and appeal
to a greater range of potential buyers.
What we do:
- Set both short-term and long-term goals for the Asian Council
- Update the latest Asian American market trends
- Unveil the market potential of upscale and affluent Asian American consumers
- Provide tools for developing a powerful referral strategy for Asian American home owners
- Increase confidence and skills in building your book of business among Asian American consumers
- Help Asian American realtors and home owners learn more about
home staging so that they can make any necessary changes in their
marketing strategies for home sales
- And more ...
We do this by:
- Sending newsletters every two months
- Holding teleseminars
- Setting up meetings in different locations throughout North America
- And more ...
Benefits for you:
- Increase your knowledge of the Asian American market
- Increase your relationship with Asian American consumers-it's a better way of doing business
- Increase your financial gain by working with diverse consumers
- Increase your home staging knowledge, especially for the Asian American market
- Increase the number of listings for Asian American realtors and sell top-value listings faster
- And more ...
Everyone
is warmly welcomed! Yes, that's right. We hope you will join us as we
look forward to an exciting future. Whether you want to know more about
this culture and behavior when selling or buying houses or want to find
ways to sell your service to this group, we offer many benefits that
will help you in your business. Perhaps you want to learn more about
home staging in this special market. We have that information, too, and
much more.
In
fact, maybe you are just curious about us. Please stop by anytime. We
love meeting new people and look forward to having you join us to
explore this growing market that has so many opportunities for someone
just like you. Sign up for our newsletter right below this message and
choose Asian Council. If you would like to get invovled please let me
know.
