(for Training Providers)

 

Educational accreditation is a type of quality assurance process under which a facility or institution's services and operations are examined by a third-party accrediting agency to determine if applicable standards are met. Should the facility meet the accrediting agency's standards, the facility receives accredited status from the accrediting agency.

 

Objective: To review staging training and redesign training provider programs as well as administrative procedures to ensure they meet a minimum standard of educational requirements determine by RESA®. 

 

Our goal is to follow the guidelines set forth by the United States Department of Education and dedicated to ensuring a quality education in real estate staging.


Some Functions of Accreditation

  1. Verifying that an institution or program meets established standards;
  2. Assisting prospective students in identifying acceptable institutions;
  3. Helping to identify institutions and programs for the investment of public and private funds;
  4. Creating goals for self-improvement of weaker programs and stimulating a general raising of standards among educational institutions;
  5. Involving the faculty and staff comprehensively in institutional evaluation and planning;
  6. Establishing criteria for professional certification
  7. Ensuring that real estate agent courses train agents how to work with stagers, why staging is important, marketing staging to their clients, etc. Agent classes that teach agents how to actually stage will be prohibited.

The Accrediting Procedure

  1. Standards: The accrediting agency, in collaboration with educational institutions, establishes standards.
  2. Self-study: The institution or program seeking accreditation prepares an in-depth self-evaluation study that measures its performance against the standards established by the accrediting agency.
  3. Publication: Upon being satisfied that the applicant meets its standards, the accrediting agency grants accreditation status and lists the institution or program in an official publication with other similarly accredited institutions or programs.
  4. Monitoring: The accrediting agency monitors each accredited institution or program throughout the period of accreditation granted to verify that it continues to meet the agency's standards.

Reevaluation: The accrediting agency periodically reevaluates each institution or program that it lists to ascertain whether continuation of its accredited status is warranted.

 

Benefits to Providers:

Providers will be able to use the Accredited by Real Estate Staging Association® Logo in the marketing of their training program. For use on websites, promotional materials, press etc.

 

Providers that receive the endorsement will be viewed as the preferred training providers in the staging industry. Consumers (people wanting to start a staging business) will look for this accreditation and seek only those providers for their source of core training and education.

 

Benefits to Consumers:

Consumers will feel a sense of safety and security knowing their training provider has undergone extensive scrutiny in order to receive status of accreditation. In addition consumers will know that training companies are voluntarily participating in the accreditation program.
