Welcome! I am Yolanda Tiera Tillman, CEO of Tiera Interiors, LLC which is a full interior decorating/design and real estate staging company servicing the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia areas. We also service Sumter/Columbia, S.C., and other cities upon request. Also, owner of Oasis Vacation Rental Designs. I served as the Chair, RESA Board of Directors from 2022-2025, and still serve as RESA First Ambassador. The purpose of the RESA First Ambassador is to reach out to chapters that do not have a RESA State or Provincial President and offer support. Ambassadors will provide outreach to encourage membership, local chapter participation, suggest relevant RESA programs and educational resources as needed. The RESA First Ambassador will serve as a standalone entity and shall not take the place of State or local chapter president’s roles. Featured in October 2021 RESAStagingNews for Leadership Roles in RESA, and to encourage members to take on this great opportunity to serve within their local chapters. Currently, I've been re-appointed as RESA Board of Directors until 2028. I am so proud to say that I am the only Certified Staging Professional (CSP) real estate stager in the Washington, D.C. metro area that holds the designation as a CSP Elite Real Estate Stager, CSP Occupied Staging Specialist, CSP Approved Mentor, CSP Residential Transitional Specialist, Vacation Rental Design Specialist and CSP Goodwill Ambassador.  The CSP designation is recognized globally by real estate professionals, builders, property stagers, decorators and the average home seller for its brand reputation of excellence. I hold the designation from Certified Interior Decorating International as an Interior Decorator. I previously held the Leadership role as the Vice-President of Membership for RESA's local Greater Capital Area Chapter for 2019. During my leadership role, I inspired those real estate stagers to strive and be the best they can be as they go forth and bear much fruit to the real estate industry, to provide education and knowledge in accordance to my skills and abilities, and to always continue to network with realtors and clients on the benefits of staging properties while they reap the benefits on their greatest return on their investments. I was awarded the 2019 Chapter Member of the Year for my contributions on recruiting the largest numbers of members within a year, while currently serving as the New Member Liaison. Nominated in 2023 for Lori Kim Polk and Cathy Nielsen Spirit Awards, and now proud to be the recipient of 2024 Kathy Nielsen Spirit Awardee.


As a proud daughter of a retired Air Force Chief Master Sargent, I took witness of the sacrifices made by my father during his dedicated military services over the years. As a retired federal government employee who served 35 years starting out working for the Department of Defense as a civilian, Washington, D.C. metro area is known as the Nation's Capital which house various federal agencies, and many military bases. I understand First hand of the challenge’s military families face during a short notice of receiving military orders to transfer around the globe and needed assistance with moving and selling their properties quickly. It is my great duty and honor to provide my real estate staging services to those military families in preparing their property for the market. Also a RESA-PRO and RESA Accredited Staging Business member, I've held the titles of RESA Most Influential Staging Industry awardee for 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. Served as the Co-Chair of Volunteers for RESA Convention in Las Vegas in 2018 & 2019, and continue in this role as the overseer of the Volunteers Program. In 2025, I launched the First Fridays Forum for all chapter leaders via a zoom call on a quarterly basis to share best practices and knowledge among chapters. This has been a huge success and will remain as a basis of connection.
