Michelle Shreve-Stroud is the founder and president of The M. Shreve Studio, a full-service design/staging firm as well as and StonePath Investments, a real estate investment firm based in High Point, North Carolina. With well over 20 years of experience in residential and showroom design & staging, she’s known for creating thoughtful, livable spaces and working closely with her clients every step of the way.

Before founding The M. Shreve Studio in 2014, she held key leaderships roles at Furnitureland South, the world’s largest furniture store, including managing their state of the art design center as well as managing a team of 40+ design consultants. Michelle also worked for Furniture Brands International, where she managed the Drexel Heritage flagship showroom. Her earlier career included running her own firm—Shreve-Thomas Interiors—and serving as National Design Manager for Builders Wholesale Interiors. 

A graduate of Elon University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Michelle has received numerous accolades throughout her career. Her design work has earned numerous Critics’ Choice Best Interior Design and Special Feature awards in the prestigious Parade of Homes as well as REGAL Awards for Best Interior Merchandising. She also spent two years under contract with Kirkland’s as one of their “Top Ten Designing Minds” and represented them as a featured designer on Lifetime Network’s Designing Spaces.

Michelle joined the Real Estate Staging Association in 2008. After many years of lurking in the background, she decided to get involved with the Carolinas chapter and attended her first RESACON in 2024.  She is currently serving as the Carolinas chapter’s Secretary and will also be serving as the Volunteer Co-Chair for RESACON 2026.  Michelle is passionate about helping other stagers and recently started "Stager's Guide" to help her fellow stagers find the resources they need.
